Masseys was incorporated in Chennai, South India, in 1843 by British entrepreneur engineers, to service the repair and maintenance needs of ships calling at the Chennai port. This company was purchased by us in 1940. In the years that followed, Masseys slowly evolved into what is today a well-established warehousing and logistics company on a self-owned 3 acre property, located opposite the Chennai port. Diversified interests include marketing of high quality Off-The-Road (OTR) tyres for mining, earth-mover, industrial and agricultural operations, leasing of cranes and forklifts, granite quarrying, manufacture and export of high quality granite tiles, slabs and monuments, import and export of iron and steel scrap, Steel Products, and export of Mill Scale fines. We deal in tyres with only a few tried and tested tyre manufacturers in China. For OTR tyres we deal exclusively with the ROADE brand manufactured by M/s Hunan Dasun Tyre Co. Ltd., for whom we are also the sole selling Agents for India and Australia. We have the guidance of highly experienced Indian tyre professionals having more than 25 years experience in design and development of quality OTR tyres. They work in tandem with the factory. A permanent Masseys representative is based in Shenzhen, China. Masseys supply to large Indian Public and Private Undertakings such as BEML Limited, Hindustan Copper Ltd, Coal India Ltd, and Jindal Steel & Power Limited etc., In most cases these organizations place orders directly on the manufacturer in China. |
